Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that definitely holds true for this rodeo. Since 1932, Houston has thrilled audiences of all ages with the help of its more than 27,000 volunteers. The Rodeo Houston schedule spans from late February to mid March, with rounds each day leading to a Super Series Championship on the final day. Throughout the rodeo schedule, Houston also hosts concerts and boasts the largest livestock show in the world. During its off season, this organization works to further its mission of promoting research and educational functions in the livestock industry. Since its inception, it has invested a whopping $330 million in youth programs to further its mission.

At one time or another most bowlers have experienced a slump or a sustained period of bowling below their level. There are a lot of reasons why a person may be in a slump. In most cases it boils down to something missing in their technique and can be corrected through going back to the basics. In addition to reviewing the basics, review the bowling equipment that you are using.

Sometimes bowling lane conditions even in the same league from week to week and from pair to pair vary. If your slump is an extended one of 4 or 5 weeks it can have a serious impact on your mental game and confidence level. The mental can affect the physical and the physical can affect the mental.

KU Alumni: A Look Back at Justin Thornton's Career

Thornton began the first seven sport final season at adrift safety and the final five at corner. He led the Jayhawks with 11 exceeds breached up. He also was fifth on the team with 63 tackles, recording a season-high nine tackles at South Florida. Thornton’s career high in tackles also was his sophomore season as shortly as he had 16 against Missouri. He was appealed whether that proved to be his favorite game in his KU career. “It comes plug with the Orange Bowl, with the plain observation I’m from Missouri. There were several emotions in the game,” said Thornton, whoever has been shifted rear to safety for his final season. “I invariably play with emotion. The Orange Bowl is more important because we obtained the win (against Virginia Tech his sophomore season). Sixteen tackles in a loss definitely hurts. The Orange Bowl is my majority important memory.”
